We are now a 24/7 functioning facility
Overnight guests have access to laundry and shower facilities. The Haven has separate sleeping areas for men and women, and two family rooms to accommodate those with children. Wake-up time is 6am and breakfast is served. The Haven is a drug and alcohol free facility. Guests under the influence of drugs/alcohol may not be permitted to stay. The shelter has other rules for guests that are posted at the site.

The permitted length of stay at the shelter is based on individual's zip code from their current form of identification. Please call the shelter to find out more details on our length of stay policy.
Unfortunately, registered sex offenders, parolees and anyone with outstanding warrants are not eligible to stay at the shelter. Anyone wishing to stay overnight must undergo a background check conducted by the Mattoon Police Department.
