Soup Kitchen
- Lunch: Monday - Sunday, noon-1pm
- Dinner: Daily, 6-7pm
Emergency Shelter
For those eligible to stay overnight, The Haven offers a bed, laundry, and shower facilities. We have separate sleeping areas for men and women, plus two rooms for families with children. The Haven is a drug-free and alcohol-free facility.
Wake-up time is 6am and breakfast is provided.
*Eligibility Requirements
- Must provide proof of prior residency in one of the following counties: Coles, Cumberland, Clark, Edgar, Douglas, Moultrie, Shelby.
- Unfortunately, registered sex offenders, parolees and anyone with outstanding warrants are not eligible to stay at the shelter.
- Those under the influence of drugs/alcohol may be refused service.
- Must undergo a background check conducted by the Mattoon Police Department.
- Even if all above eligibility requirements are met, the staff reserves the right to refuse service at their discretion.

We honor and deeply appreciate our veterans, offering them the care, respect, and support they deserve. We are committed to providing a safe, welcoming space for them to rebuild and thrive.
