The Haven: Offering Shelter, Food & Hope

Providing a Path to Sustainable Living

Serving Coles, Cumberland, Clark, Edgar, Douglas, Moultrie, and Shelby Counties, The Haven is a transitional housing facility dedicated to supporting neighbors in need. We provide a foundation for independence by offering temporary shelter, daily meals, and a supportive environment. Residents with a last known address in our seven-county service area are eligible for a 60-day stay.

Takeaway Community Kitchen

We provide fresh, free meals daily for anyone in our community. Meals are available for pick-up at our door during the following times:

Lunch: 12– 1pm
Supper: 6–7pm

Shelter Program

We offer a safe, drug- and alcohol-free environment featuring laundry and shower facilities, separate sleeping areas for men and women, and dedicated family rooms.

How to Join: Contact us to check availability. All participants must undergo a background check by the Mattoon Police Department.
Our Goal: To promote awareness and support long-term solutions for individuals and families facing housing and food insecurity.
